David Wayne Fulcher, 57, of Winston-Salem, died unexpectedly Monday, September 8, 2008 in Ocala, Florida. He was born June 7, 1951 in Forsyth County to the late Vincent and Treva Leinbach Fulcher. Survivors include his wife of 15 years, Kathy Joyce Fulcher, of the home; one daughter, Krystal Pegram Weiss and husband, Matt and two grandchildren, Mason and Bella Weiss of Rockwell.

David Fulcher was truly the love of my life. We dated in high school.We got together at the 20 year class reunion. He didn't marry until he was 42 years old. He had the gift of helps, and he literally helped many people out of the ditch.
He invested his life into people. Everyone always had a kind word to say about him.
He had a zest and love for life. He always greeted you with a handshake, hug and a smile. He loved animals, older people, and children. He was a greeter and a deacon in our church. He was so looking forward to our 40 year class reunion.
I miss him terribly.

David was indeed one of a kind. I remember him directing the band and helping everyone who needed his encouragement and support. My heart goes out to Kathy, another wonderful friend and lovely person, and will keep her in my prayers.
