High Point - Brenda Kay Idol Pitts, 73, formerly of Kernersville passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 20, 2024, at Brookdale High Point North.

Brenda was born in Greensboro, North Carolina on November 14,1950, to Patty Sue Rice Idol and the late Richard Crews Idol. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Joe Wayne Pitts and her father, Richard Idol.

Brenda was an avid animal lover; she also loved the beach and being surrounded by her church friends and family. Her favorite days were spent shopping with her cousins and her best friends, Wanda and Nadine.

In addition to her mother, survivors include, her brother Mitch Idol, sister Sandy Dillion, daughter, Jennifer Leigh Pitts, Jeannie Starr and husband Jay, Jody Pitts. She leaves behind six grandchildren Chase Starr and wife Megan, Seth Pitts, Zane Starr, Keeleigh Brendle, Kaine Brendle & Bentley Shoemaker and one great grandchild Lilith Jay Starr. She also had many friends from her circle of faith who looked upon her as a beautiful soul who left her imprint on their hearts and will dearly miss her, including Kim Hizer and Carol Efird.

A graveside service will be held Online at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 27, 2024, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints Cemetery at 8934 Market Street, Colfax, NC 27235.

So sorry we lost another classmate.  My deepest sympathy goes out to the family as well as my prayers.  It's hard to believe she is gone.  She was always so friendly and smiling and seemed to make the most of life. She will be greatly missed by the many family members and her friends.  Another Eagle gone to rest in peace.
