MABE WALKERTOWN - Ms. Sandra Faye Shumaker Mabe, 59, passed away quietly in her sleep on Tuesday, September 16, 2008. She was born December 28, 1948 the daughter of the late Walter Lee Shumaker and Lona Faye Huie Shumaker. Sandra was a loving mother, sister and friend. She will be missed greatly by all who knew her. Sandra is survived by her daughter, Kim Tilley and husband Todd of King, four brothers: David Brown of Walnut Cove; Bobby Brown of Hays; Barry Shumaker of Thomasville; and Gary Shumaker of Winston-Salem. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and friends. There will be no formal funeral services. The family will receive friends from 12:00 noon -1:00 p.m. Saturday, September 20, 2008 at Hayworth-Miller Funeral Home in Rural Hall. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to help with final expenses to her daughter, Kim Tilley.
