We have only recently learned of the death of classmate, Donald Allen (Donnie) Nichols, on April 28, 2018 in Morehead City, N.C.  An obituary for Donne has been posted on the "In Memory" page.  If anyone knows any details regarding Donnie's date of birth, please send an email to Doug Mabe for inclusion on  the class web site.  Please keep the Nichols family in your thoughts and prayers.

Steering Committee Sets Goal for 50th Reunion

The Class of '69 Steering Committee met on Sunday, January 11, 2015 to debrief the 45th class reunion held on September 27, 2014.  We discussed those elements of the reunion that we felt were successful, as well as those elements that we wish to change or avoid in the future.  The main improvement we wish to make is to increase the attendance.

The consensus of the group is that we want our 50th Reunion in 2019 to be a "Really Special" Event.  At this point, however, we are unsure of what "REALLY SPECIAL" means.  This is where you come in.  We would like to hear YOUR ideas about things that you feel will make our 50th Reunion a "Really Special" event.  This is a brain-storming exercise and, as such, no idea is too far-fetched.  Please send us your ideas by using the "Contact Us" link located along the left side of the Home Page.  So put on your thinking caps and let us know what you think!

The Steering Committee plans to meet again in about six months to discuss ideas that are submitted. If you would like to serve on the Steering Committee, please send us an email so that we may include you meeting announcements.

...And a Good Time Was Had By All!

If you were unable to attend the reunion, you were greatly missed, and you missed a great time.  The food was good and the conversation was even better.  What a joy it was to reconnect with old friends and spend some quality time with one another!  We are already looking forward to our 50th.  We want to see EVERYONE in 2019. Don't forget to nurture the relationships you rekindled at the reunion. Pictures may be viewed by clicking the "Photo Gallery" link along the left side of the Home Page.
