Sharon was diagnosed with colon cancer in Oct. 2002. She fought long and hard and passed away peacefully at home with her family by her side. Her children Mark[Tammy], Jason[Stephenie & Stephen] and Johnna are well as is John. She now has a 2 yr. old granddaughter Laya. (Information provided by Sharon's sister, Doris Boone Stafford.)

I knew Sharon more from Pop Warner football, when her boys and my son played for the Kernersville Raiders. I know she had a baby when the boys were 16 years old or so. She once commented that having a baby at that age wasn't much different...it just took longer for her to get up off the floor! I liked Sharon...she was such a sweet gal with a warm and generous heart. I was saddened by the news of her death.Carol Idol (Westmoreland)

What sad news! She was such a great person! She had such a beautiful smile and a wonderful sense of humor! It seems we were always laughing when she was around! I know this was a tremendous loss for all her family and close friends.
