Max and I go way back. His family and my family have a long history together. Spent a lot of time with Max growing up, church, school, summer camp, working in tobacco, going to ball games and much more. Still think of him often and miss him very much! He was a great friend. Sadly both of his brothers have left us also.
I met Max when Curt and I started dating in high school. He was from Belews Creek and one of Curt's friends. He was such a friendly person and had a wonderful family. After Curt and I were married we lived nextdoor to the Hester family. I will never forget coming home from our honeymoon and the Hester family waiting til we went to bed,decided they would marched around our house ringing bells and beating pots and pans.( Welcoming Us Home) Just about scared me to death, I was from the city, it was so dark in Belews Creek, and what was wrong with those people!!!
