Linda Kaye Money Williams, age 74, of Havana, passed away Friday, October 13,  2023

Linda was born in Forsyth County, NC to the late James Stacey Money Sr. and Mae Ayers Mayes. In addition to her parents, Linda was preceded in death by her husband Bill; her sister, Rachel Matthews and husband Tony; sister-in-law, Ronda Money; step-dad, Clyde Mayes; as well as her special friend, Jean Wade. Mrs. Williams was a longtime member of First Baptist Church in Havana, where she loved to volunteer for VBS and other events when able, and to worship her Lord and Savior, Jesus. After retiring from CHP after 23 years, Linda continued her passion for sewing as a member of the Greater Capital Area Chapter of the Florida Sewing Society. Her creative mind and skill was used to make the most beautiful masterpieces that became gifts, décor and keepsakes that will forever be cherished. If you ever met Linda, then you knew how much of a fashionista she was with her love of matching clothes and jewelry for church or any occasion.

Surviving are her loving son, Scotty Williams and wife Suzanne of Havana; one grandson, Tyler Campbell; one brother, James “Jimmy” Stacey Money Jr. of Lexington, NC; a special niece, Angela Rhodes (Rick) of Oak Ridge, NC; two nephews, James “Stacey” Money III of Winston-Salem, NC, and Jeremy Money (Liz) of Welcome, NC; two great-nephews, Chase Rhodes (Sydney) of Kernersville, NC, and Tyler Rhodes (Jeane) of Greensboro, NC; two great-nieces, Eden Money of Welcome, NC, and Jillian Money of Winston-Salem, NC; a great-great niece, Kynlee Rhodes of Greensboro, NC; and a host of family and friends that she loved dearly.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to all of the ladies that took care of Linda during the last few months of her life.

A service will be held at First Baptist Church of Havana, Wednesday October 25th, 2023, at 11 am.
