Growing up in Florida, I only knew 2 people when I came to East. Somehow, Vickie took me under her wing. We were as different as night and day, but she was a loyal friend. In time, our paths went different directions. But I will never forget our friendship. RIP dear friend....

Vickie used to ride my bus I drove from Union Cross changeover to Glenn Jr High and then on to East. Her best friend Jan Wilson was always by her side. They were both two peas in a pod and could bring a laugh, a joke or a quick mischeivious moment to play a prank on others by their sides or to their great subject on bus, Jerry Sells, who always pestered them. Vickie was a very happy person, very cheerful, always a smile or a friendly word to others. I lost track after school and always wondered what become of her. She was a sweetie. I know she is at peace now in a better world, she earned her wings!! Fly high now Eagle!! Rest in Peace dear classmate. Thank you for being my friend.
