Oh let's see, I guess I was one of those folks that made the top half of our class possible.
Stereotype? was I a jock? I played a little football with a living legend. Ran track because I could not hit the curve ball. Unless you played on a team sport you don't understand the comraderie. It was the place where We learned about accountability.
My family stills gives the award named after my late father. I am due to present it this spring.
Really I loved playing Rugby. I got a photo of me in the G/boro News. After seeing it my old boss needed me to be healthy and reasoned with me why it was in my best interest that I stopped.
Back to High School, I was in the Key Club and remember those all nighters at Ron Pegrams playing 9-ball. Conventions in Charlotte & Charleston.
Although not school related I did a lot with Scouting, weekend camping and playing Indian was something I was into. An old girl friend just did not understand.

Fifty Years, Fifty Years.
The good folks that run this website wanted me to update my profile. So I will just add this to my profile. If you are physically able to attend our 50th Class reunion this September I hope you will make the effort to get together one last time. Maybe for the last time. I know Doug Mabe and his committee have it well organized so, by all means, get out of your comfort zone and send your $$$$ to Lin. (below are older but still relevant comments).
The only negative about our reunions is that We cannot spend quality time with so many folks with such a short time.
Thanks for coming and I hope to stay in touch with ya'll. You know this is a bitter-sweet exercise, finding of old acquaintances that leave us oh too soon. But it is going to be fun re-connecting and giving us a real touch-stone until We meet again. Kinda like Roy Rogers and the sons of the pioneers, "Happy Trails to you!!"
after 23 years away from North Carolina, We moved and sold my business in New (how did I get here) Jersey. A career in photography and publishing.
I guess I still golf although mine looks like a different game on TV than what I play.

I guess you could say I have gone to the dogs.
I have raised and successfully developed a 150# Newfoundland into a show champion and Delta-Therapy dog pet partner. "Lefty" pretty much goes with me everywhere. A gentle giant. He is available to visit school groups to read or explain his unique heritage. A natural swimmer He also does water-rescue work. Does anyone out there want a messy boat?
I did graduate from Elon in four years and know I could not even get in place now. I am on a couple of alumni boards these days there and go to home football games in the fall.
our class time was such turbulent time but We lived before all hell broke out. Before Woodstock, drugs, Watergate, We were lucky to get an 8-track. It is always great to see an old familiar face. Did you know one of my best friends played with the band that played for our Sr prom, "Blue-eyed Soul" from Burlington.
