Lexington March 28, 1951 - April 12, 2016 David Johnson Elliott, 65, was born March 28, 1951 in Forsyth County, NC to Ollie and Ethel Elliott. He spent his early years as a member of Crews United Methodist Church. David was a current member of Friedberg Moravian Church. He was the proud owner of Elliott Landscaping for 20 years. The Boy Scouts of America had a great impact on his life growing up and he later enjoyed investing in the lives of young men by serving as the scout master for Troop number #930 and #703. He served in the Army National Guard in Winston-Salem, NC for 10 years. David is survived by his son, Robert Elliott and wife Amanda of Lexington, NC and his daughter, Laura Darrow and husband Josh of Monroe, NC. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ollie and Ethel Elliott, as well as his sister, Kathryn Elliott Jarrett. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, April 19th at 11am at Friedberg Moravian Church in Winston-Salem. Memorial contributions can be made to the Boy Scouts of America Troop #703 or the Mental Health Association of Forsyth County.

I got the last notice that David Elliott Died. Unfortunately, I did not know him very well. He was not in the group that I hang out with, but he was still one of us. We are slowly disappearing one by one.....would it be great if we could forever? My condolences.
