ARMSTRONG WALKERTOWN Sylvia Ann Shelton Armstrong May 21, 1951 - Sept. 20, 2014 Sylvia Ann Shelton Armstrong, 63, died Saturday morning, September 20, 2014 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. She was born May 21, 1951 in Forsyth County to Edgar Worth and Lois Elaine Riggs Shelton. Sylvia was a member of Mount Calvary Baptist Church and was the pianist for over 30 years. She was very active in the community, working with the little league and other various groups. She worked at US Airways for over 17 years. A 2:00 pm funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 23, 2014 at Mount Calvary Baptist Church with Rev. Tom Southern, Rev. Barry Clement, and Rev. David Cloer officiating. Burial will follow at Gardens of Memory in Walkertown. In addition to her Father, she is preceded in death by her sister Donna Kay Shelton. She is survived by her loving husband of 45 years Roger D. Armstrong of the home, Mother, Lois R, Shelton of Walkertown; two sons, Jeff Armstrong and wife Rene' of Belews Creek, Chris Armstrong and wife Amy of Walnut Cove; seven grandchildren Katie, Bo, Alyissa-Kay, Lydia, Landon, Elijah, and Abigail; one great grandchild, Tanner. The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Monday, September 22, 2014 at Burroughs Chapel and other times at the home of her mother's. Memorials can be made to Kate B.
