Carolyn was in my English class. She had a great sense of humor and a friend to me. She was a wonderful student and will be missed. I am shocked to hear of her passing........
Shocked to hear this. She was such a nice and smart girl. I actually saw her about 12 years ago. I was sitting in Walkertown Jr. High after doing a Risk Management Analysis for the county. In walked Carolyn and her daughter. I believe she had moved back here and was enrolling her daughter there. We had a short talk about the good old days in Walkertown.
Carolyn and I were so close in high school, I can't imagine how we lost touch during our college years. She tracked me down in 2001 and we had a brief late-night telephone reunion. Not long afterwards, I called the telephone number she left, but reached a dead end. I waited for her to contact me, but the call never came. How sad to learn now, after eight more years, why she never called again. There is a lesson in this for all of us. Never, never procrastinate in renewing old friendships or maintaining current ones.
Carolyn was so intelligent, talented, and vivacious. How sad to learn she has left us.
Carolyn was one of the sweetest and friendy lady I knew. So surprised to her of her passing, I had lost touch with her and had hoped to catch up with her at the reunion...life is so fragile and sometimes so short! Gayle Smith Clofelter, Class of 69
